On a “Whim”
Kimberly founded Rhoads Crossing in 2016 kind of on a "whim". At the time she was at home raising four daughters when a friend reached out to see if she knew of anyone interested in purchasing an existing upholstery workroom. The workroom was struggling to survive, but word on the street was that some of the best local upholsterers worked there. Knowing absolutely nothing about upholstery, it only made sense that Kimberly jumped at the chance to make the business her own!

Kimberly knew many local designers while also having a background in project management, and the upholsterers she "inherited" were second to none. By hiring even more skilled workers, the company has been able to grown into the successful workroom it is today.

Rhoads Crossing works closely with designers to ensure their beautiful designs are executed exactly as intended. The workroom is managed the way designers manage their successful firms - timely estimates, excellent communication, attention to detail, and always meeting or exceeding expectations.
